All Furniture Services is looking for skilled, independent Furniture Repair Technicians (1099 Subcontractors) to take on local service calls in the Sacramento, CA area.

We partner with major furniture retailers, manufacturers, and warranty companies that need reliable on-site repairs for their customers. We handle the client relationships and provide a steady stream of pre-scheduled work orders—you bring your tools and expertise to complete the repairs in the customer's home or business. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced technician or handyman looking to fill their schedule with consistent contract work without having to hunt for their own leads.

What You Will Do (Duties)

Travel to local customer locations to perform on-site furniture repairs and restorations.
Wood Refinishing & Touch-Ups: Repair scratches, dents, gouges, and finish issues on wood furniture using fillers, stains, markers, and clear coats.
Upholstery & Leather Repair: Perform fabric and leather repairs, including seam stitching, panel replacement, stuffing/padding adjustments, and leather color restoration.
Structural & Frame Repairs: Fix broken frames, reinforce joints, and level furniture pieces.
Recliner & Motion Mechanisms: Troubleshoot, repair, or swap out manual and power recliner mechanisms, cables, motors, and switches.
Take clear "before and after" photos of the repair and submit brief job notes through our mobile portal upon completion.

Required Skills & Experience

Required — Wood Refinishing: Proven hands-on experience with wood touch-ups, color matching, grain blending, and spot refinishing.
Required — Upholstery: Strong proficiency working with fabric, leather, and vinyl upholstery repairs (hand-sewing, restuffing, and part replacements).
Recliner Mechanisms (Preferred): Experience repairing manual and power recliner mechanisms is highly valued. (We have some flexibility here if you are already strong in wood refinishing and upholstery and are comfortable doing basic mechanical troubleshooting.)
1099 Contractor Requirements: Must have your own repair tools/touch-up kit, reliable transportation, and a smartphone to manage service tickets.
Strong communication skills, punctuality, and a polite, professional attitude when working inside clients' homes.
