We’re looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to join our accounting team and play a key role in client support, staff mentorship, and financial oversight.
\n
\n
This position can be performed fully remote from anywhere in the U.S. or preferred hybrid for candidates located near our San Diego headquarters.
\n
\n
This role is ideal for an analytical, proactive accounting professional who enjoys leading others, improving processes, and working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do
\n
\n
- \n
- Supervise day-to-day accounting operations for multiple clients
- Review and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities
- Oversee payroll entries and ensure accuracy of financial reporting
- Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Review and mentor accounting staff to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Lead special projects and process improvement initiatives
- Conduct team training and respond to client requests
- Maintain records for the preparation of 1099 filings

What We’re Looking For
\n
- \n
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting or controller-team experience preferred
- Strong understanding of tax-basis accounting
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online; ProAdvisor Certification preferred
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and macros
- Prior experience supervising or reviewing other accountants’ work
- Strong leadership, communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and accountability
- Comfortable leveraging technology and improving processes
- Able to thrive both independently and as part of a team

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 per year
\n
