M&M Alternators & Batteries is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor Writer to support its independent general automotive repair shop. This role combines customer care, repair coordination, estimating, and communication with technicians to ensure a smooth service experience. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and committed to providing daily progress updates, milestone communications, and clear final completion details. Bilingual English and Spanish communication is a plus, with opportunities to grow into service department leadership.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers and gather accurate vehicle service information.
Coordinate general automotive repairs within an independent shop workflow.
Prepare repair estimates and obtain customer authorization before work begins.
Communicate daily progress updates and provide updates at key repair milestones.
Respond to customer-requested updates and explain repair recommendations clearly.
Serve as the liaison between customers and technicians throughout the repair process.
Schedule services, review invoices, and communicate final completion details.
Follow up with customers to confirm quality and satisfaction after service.

Required Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience in automotive service advising or a related role.
Solid background in automotive service and general automotive repair.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Dependable, organized, and effective in a fast-paced work environment.
Commitment to delivering excellent customer care.
