Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An interim Pharmacist In Charge opportunity is available for an ASAP start with a contract duration of approximately 8 to 13 weeks. This role supports a busy retail pharmacy setting and requires a dedicated professional to oversee pharmacy operations in Citrus Heights, CA.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Closed Sundays
Responsibilities include:
- Full cycle prescription processing and dispensing
- Communication with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
- Managing and supervising pharmacy technicians
- Opening and closing pharmacy procedures
- Completing all required Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) paperwork
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years recent retail pharmacy experience
- Prior experience as a retail Pharmacist In Charge strongly preferred
- California pharmacist license in-hand
- Immunization Certification and current BLS card required
- Familiarity with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system
