Our team is looking for Part-Time and Full-Time Janitorial Cleaners for immediate hire!
Position Summary
The Janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of restrooms, common areas, and other designated spaces at the Escondido World Marketplace. This role performs routine cleaning tasks throughout the day to keep the park presentable and sanitary for shoppers, vendors, and staff. The Janitor reports to the Janitorial Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including restocking supplies such as soap, paper products, and hand sanitizer.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean common areas, walkways, and other designated spaces throughout the day.
- Empty and replace trash and recycling receptacles across the property.
- Spot-clean spills, stains, and debris promptly to maintain a safe and presentable environment.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the Janitorial Lead.
- Follow proper procedures for the safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain janitorial carts, tools, and equipment in clean, working condition.
- Use a blower to keep the grounds clear of debris
- Maintain clean parking lot standards
- Assist with event cleanup and additional cleaning needs during high-traffic periods.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations and needs of the Escondido World Marketplace.
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial, custodial, or cleaning experience preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Abel to legally work in the U.S
- Able to speak English & Spanish fluently
- Ability to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to [40–50] lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to walk the property regularly, including outdoor and uneven surfaces.
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
