Job DescriptionBehavioral Health Technician (LPT) – Contract
Location: Vallejo, CA 94590
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Pay: $1,306 – $1,474/week

Schedule: 5 x 8-hour night shifts
-
Hours: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
Schedule: Varied days, typically every other weekend
-
On-Call: Not required

Position Summary & Responsibilities
-
Provide direct/indirect psychiatric patient care under RN supervision
-
Monitor, document, and report patient behavior, condition changes, and safety risks
-
Support admissions, discharges, intake assessments, and patient orientation
-
Utilize therapeutic communication, de-escalation, and assist with restraints/seclusion per protocol
-
Assist with medication administration (per scope), patient rounding, hygiene, and safety monitoring
Requirements
-
Active CA LVN or LPT license (required)

Minimum 1 year psychiatric experience required

BLS (AHA/ARC required)
-
CPI required (may be obtained on site)
-
High school diploma/GED required
-
Must not be a Mental Health Tech
