We are seeking an Assembly Technician to support the build and production of aircraft-related components, including subassemblies and electrical/lighting systems. This role focuses on producing reliable, high-quality parts while meeting daily output targets. Success in this position comes from attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to follow defined processes while contributing to a team-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble components and subassemblies using work instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Conduct required in-process inspections and functional checks during builds
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship to meet aerospace quality requirements
- Identify and communicate opportunities to improve assembly procedures or documentation
- Complete assigned production tasks within established timelines
- Cross-train on additional products and processes as needed
Performance Expectations
- Support introduction and ramp-up of new products
- Demonstrate strong collaboration and reliability within the team
- Consistently meet production commitments and deadlines
- Minimize defects, rework, and material waste
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Exposure to an aerospace or regulated manufacturing environment is a plus
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Experience using precision measurement tools (micrometers, indicators, height gauges, etc.)
- Comfortable working with basic electrical test equipment (multimeters, power supplies) and general hand tools
Physical & Work Requirements
- Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for detailed assembly work
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
- Visual acuity to read small print and distinguish colors accurately
