Position Details
- Setting: LA County Correctional Health
- Schedule: 24/7 operation; must be flexible for day, evening, and overnight shifts
- Shifts: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, or 10:00 PM–6:00 AM
- Duration: Long-term, open-ended contract
- Start: Approximately 4 weeks after interview/clearance process
- Clearance: Must successfully complete County security clearance, Employee Health onboarding, Livescan, and LACDHS competency testing

Requirements
- Active California Pharmacist license required
- At least 2 years of retail/outpatient pharmacy experience
- Local to the Los Angeles area preferred
- Experience with transition of care
- Clinical chart review experience
- Medication refill authorization experience
- Medical billing experience
- Strong communication and clinical judgment
- Comfortable working in a correctional healthcare environment
- Must be able to commit to the full clearance/onboarding process
Important Hiring Process
- Security paperwork and required documents must be submitted several weeks before the interview
- Facility tour provided during the interview process
- Must pass the LACDHS Competency Test — one attempt
- Must complete Employee Health clearance and Livescan fingerprinting
- Full process can take approximately 6–10 weeks, so candidates should be prepared to complete each step promptly
