Job DescriptionCNC Programmer
What does this job do?
A CNC Programmer tells computer-controlled machines how to make metal or plastic parts with very high accuracy. They create and improve machine programs, solve problems, and help make production faster and more efficient.
What You'll Do
- Write and update programs that tell CNC machines what to do.
- Set up machining instructions for advanced machines that move in multiple directions.
- Read blueprints and engineering drawings to understand how parts should be made.
- Choose the right cutting tools and machine settings.
- Test programs before production to make sure they work correctly and won't crash the machine.
- Fix machining problems and improve quality and speed.
- Work with machinists, engineers, and quality teams.
- Create setup instructions and keep records up to date.
- Help reduce waste, downtime, and production costs.
- Follow all safety and quality rules.
What Skills You Need
- At least 8 years of CNC programming experience.
- Strong experience using Mastercam software.
- Experience programming 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machines.
- Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings.
- Understanding of machining tools, cutting speeds, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have
- Associate's degree in machining, manufacturing, or engineering technology.
- Experience with SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar design software.
- Experience in aerospace, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.

Work Schedule & Environment
- Monday-Friday
- 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- Work in a machine shop around manufacturing equipment.
- Must be comfortable standing and moving around for much of the day.
- Environment focuses on safety, teamwork, and quality.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Fairfield, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
