Position Overview
We are an established private dental practice seeking an energetic, responsible, and positive Dental Office Treatment Coordinator to join our team. As the primary liaison between our clinical team and our patients, you will play a pivotal role in presenting treatment options, managing scheduling, handling insurance verification and billing, and delivering exceptional patient care. Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Dentrix software are required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Treatment Coordination & Patient Care
- Present comprehensive treatment plans to patients, explaining options, financial commitments, and scheduling needs clearly and empathetically.
- Answer phone calls and assist patients with inquiries, scheduling, and concerns in a professional, welcoming manner.
- Guide patients through their care journey, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from intake through treatment completion.
Insurance, Billing & Financial Management
- Verify patient dental insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage details prior to appointments.
- Calculate patient co-pays, process payments, and manage insurance billing and collections accurately.
- Assist patients with financial arrangements, payment plans, and third-party financing options (e.g., CareCredit).
Scheduling & Administrative Support
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments to maintain an optimal, efficient daily practice flow.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records, charts, and personal information using Dentrix.
- Perform daily front desk and administrative support duties as needed to support smooth office operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience as a Dental Treatment Coordinator, Front Desk Specialist, or Dental Administrative Assistant in a private dental practice setting.
- Software: Must be proficient in Dentrix software.
- Skills: Strong understanding of dental terminology, treatment planning, insurance verification, and billing practices.
- Interpersonal Attributes: Energetic, responsible, highly organized, and detail-oriented with outstanding verbal and written communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Languages: Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a strong plus.
