JOB SUMMARY:
Learn to perform precision grinding operations that are critical to our products.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond well to extensive on-the-job training.
- Be a good team member, willing to perform all tasks needed to support the company mission. Everything from mopping the floor to holding tolerances of millionths of an inch with high-precision grinding machines.
- Perform various shop duties and manufacturing processes with skill, consistency, and productivity.
- Operate high-precision manual machines to perform OD and ID cylindrical grinding.
- Perform high-precision measurements of size and runout using micrometers, dial indicators, and special gages.
- Learn and perform the craft of high precision, from basic to advanced.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have mechanical aptitude.
- Understand decimal numbers and basic arithmetic.
- Machine shop experience is helpful but not required. Talent and good attitude is more important.
- Ability to use a 0-1” micrometer to measure precise size (+/-.0001”).
- Willing to learn specialized techniques and perform reliably with discipline and precision.
- Reliable on-time attendance.
- Career minded.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5am-1:30pm
