Position Overview

Seeking a mid-level to Senior-level Structural Engineer with 8 to 10+ years of experience in the design of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures involving both new construction and renovation projects. This position is based in our Orange County office and offers the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team while advancing toward Senior technical leadership and project management responsibilities. The ideal candidate is technically strong, highly collaborative, and enthusiastic about developing innovative structural solutions for a diverse portfolio of projects.

What You'll Do

  • Perform and oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing for a variety of building projects.
  • Develop creative, practical, and efficient structural solutions for new and existing facilities.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, owners, contractors, and fellow engineering disciplines to deliver coordinated, high-quality construction documents.
  • Lead or mentor engineers, designers, and drafting professionals on project teams.
  • Participate in project meetings and facilitate effective communication throughout the design process.
  • Help ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Contribute to a positive office culture built on teamwork, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
  • Grow into expanded technical leadership, project management, and client-facing responsibilities.

  • Strong experience with structural analysis and design software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with architectural teams and other project stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build strong professional relationships and work within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Effective time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

QualificationsRequired

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in structural design of buildings or similar structures.
  • Experience preparing structural designs and construction documents for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Experience with DSA and/or HCAI projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Structural Engineer (SE) license.
  • Experience leading project teams and mentoring junior staff.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Newport Beach, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $140000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
