We are looking for a paralegal to support a busy plaintiff-side personal injury practice in Newport Beach, California. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to matters ranging from straightforward pre-litigation claims to complex injury cases, while working closely with attorneys, clients, and a collaborative support team. The position is well suited for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing litigation tasks across multiple stages of a case.

Responsibilities:

• Manage plaintiff personal injury files through different phases of litigation, ensuring deadlines, filings, and case materials remain organized and current.

• Prepare and coordinate written discovery, including drafting responses, gathering supporting information from clients, and serving discovery requests on opposing parties.

• Assist with the preparation, filing, and service of pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents in accordance with court procedures.

• Support trial readiness by organizing exhibits, compiling case materials, and assisting attorneys with pre-trial preparation activities.

• Maintain litigation calendars and monitor key deadlines by applying knowledge of California state and federal court rules.

• Review medical, billing, and case-related records to create concise summaries, chronologies, and damage-related overviews as needed.

• Communicate with clients to collect documents, clarify case information, and help keep matters moving efficiently.

• Use case management and office software to track progress, draft documents, and support day-to-day litigation operations.

• At least 3 years of experience in a paralegal or closely related legal support role.
• Background supporting civil litigation matters, preferably in plaintiff-side personal injury cases.
• Practical experience with discovery, litigation document preparation, and trial support.
• Familiarity with calendaring requirements and filing deadlines in state and federal courts.
• Proficiency with case management systems and standard office software such as Microsoft 365.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and professionally.
• Ability to work on site in or near Newport Beach, California, with hybrid flexibility available after the initial onboarding period.
