Financial Systems Analyst (K-12 ERP & Compliance)

Location: Santa Clara County, CA (Hybrid/Onsite)

Position Overview

Join a team supporting the financial backbone of California’s K-12 education system. The Financial Systems Analyst plays a critical role in aligning financial reporting, compliance requirements, and enterprise systems to ensure accurate, timely, and audit-ready financial operations.

This role combines finance, technology, and regulatory compliance, supporting modernization initiatives and improving financial transparency across the organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting and Compliance

• Support and maintain financial reporting processes in compliance with California K-12 requirements, including:
  • Standardized Account Code Structure (SACS)
  • AB 1200 fiscal oversight guidelines
  • CalPERS and CalSTRS reporting requirements
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial submissions
• Partner with finance and audit teams to support internal and external audits

ERP Systems and Technology

• Administer and support financial systems, with a focus on Oracle ERP
• Assist in system enhancements, upgrades, and data integrity validation
• Support migration or optimization efforts, including exposure to Oracle Cloud environments
• Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot system issues and improve workflows

Data Analysis and Process Improvement

• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for efficiency
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data validation processes
• Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline reporting and compliance

Stakeholder and Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with:
  • Finance and accounting teams
  • HR/payroll (for CalPERS/CalSTRS alignment)
  • IT and system administrators
• Translate business requirements into system and reporting solutions

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in:
  • Financial systems analysis
  • K-12 or public sector finance (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of:
  • SACS reporting
  • AB 1200 compliance frameworks
  • CalPERS and CalSTRS reporting processes
• Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
