- Repair and Replace: Fix or swap out worn or broken parts such as brakes, belts, hoses, and transmissions.
- Test Performance: Run test drives and system checks to confirm that equipment works safely and properly.
- Maintain Records: Keep accurate logs of all inspections, parts used, and services performed.
- Communicate with Clients: Explain repair options, timelines, and cost estimates to vehicle owners.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of engine mechanics, electrical systems, and diagnostic software.
- Tools and Equipment: Ability to safely use hand tools, power lifts, and computerized scanners.
- Physical Stamina: Strength and dexterity to lift heavy parts, stand for long hours, and work in tight spaces.
