SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION:

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for verifying that products manufactured by Sierra Circuits, Inc. meet the requirements of our customers using various inspection tools and inspection methods.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Visual inspection under magnification on printed circuit boards.
  • Identify quality defects to conformance specs and complete reject report (NCMR).
  • Obtain FAI report and packaging requirements before moving the order to shipping.
  • Maintain clean and orderly workspace.
  • Perform final count of acceptable parts and sign the traveler.
  • Complete first article report / or AS91002 report.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional multi-tasking, organizational skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of management
  • Self-motivator and a sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality & professionalism at all times.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
  • Fluent in English
  • Basic arithmetic in reference to instructions where interpretations are required.
  • Ability to visually verify fine detail work.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions when inspecting printed circuit boards.
  • Basic understanding of prints and specifications, ability to complete FAI reports and communicate via email with customer inquiries.
  • Moderate physical lifting of up to 20-Ibs
  • Some out-of-department in-process inspection.


ENVIRONMENT: Office and Manufacturing – Comply with safety and protective equipment as required.

SHIFT: Day Shift and Night Shift

SALARY: $20.00 - $26.00 hourly

MUST be a US Personnel

JOB TYPE: Non Exempt

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must frequently stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The ability to lift 20 lbs., open filing cabinets, and bend, stand, or climb on step ladders as necessary.


ENVIRONMENT:

  • The manufacturing facility is exposed to electronics assembly equipment and materials.
  • May require working in a controlled environment with specific temperature and humidity requirements.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to perform the work.
  • Production floor- Machine shop environment
