Part-Time Custodian – Afternoon Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:30 PM–7:00 PM
Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour
Job Type: Part-Time
We are currently seeking a dependable and responsible Part-Time Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for supplemental income, a second job, or additional part-time hours. We are looking for someone who is interested in a consistent, long-term part-time position and can commit to the required Monday–Friday schedule.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas
- Sweep and mop floors throughout assigned areas
- Empty trash and maintain clean waste areas
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces
- Clean windows, doors, and other assigned areas
- Maintain cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment
- Follow proper procedures when handling cleaning chemicals
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of assigned areas
- Complete end-of-day custodial responsibilities
- Secure the facility and properly follow building closing procedures
Requirements
- 1–2 years of custodial or janitorial experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Must be available Monday–Friday from 2:30 PM–7:00 PM
- Highly dependable, responsible, and punctual
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Comfortable with the responsibility of handling building keys, alarm codes, and after-hours facility access
- Must successfully complete required background screening prior to placement
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 45 lbs.

The ideal candidate is someone seeking steady supplemental income who can commit to this schedule long-term. Because this position is responsible for closing and securing the facility, reliability, trustworthiness, attendance, and communication are extremely important.
