Job Description
Legacy Career Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist with a strong Accounts Payable background for an established commercial construction company in Corona, California.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has experience processing high volumes of invoices, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative accounting team.
The primary focus will be Accounts Payable, with some additional Accounts Receivable and general accounting support. This position does not involve collections.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage approximately 150+ vendor invoices per week, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Verify invoice information and research discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate vendor accounts, invoice records, and payment documentation.
- Assist with invoice reconciliation and payment processing.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice-related questions.
- Provide limited Accounts Receivable support and general accounting assistance.
- Maintain organized financial records and support established accounting procedures.
- Meet processing deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting Assistant, or Accounting Specialist positions.
- Experience processing invoices in a high-volume accounting environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general accounting software.
- Strong data entry and 10-key skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction accounting or a related industry.
- Familiarity with purchase orders, invoice coding, and vendor reconciliations.
- Experience with CMiC accounting software is a plus, but not required.
- Experience using ERP or other accounting systems.
Compensation and Assignment Details
- Pay Rate: $25.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Assignment Duration: Approximately 2–3 months, with potential for extension. Maybe even get hire directly with the company.
- Location: Corona, California (onsite).
- Overtime: Not anticipated.
