Looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing dental team in Moreno Valley, CA! This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced dental professionals in a patient-focused environment where your skills and passion for orthodontic care truly make a difference.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the orthodontist chairside during patient examinations, adjustments, and orthodontic procedures
- Place and remove orthodontic brackets, bands, wires, and ligatures under doctor supervision
- Take and process dental X-rays, photographs, and impressions for treatment planning
- Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, compliant treatment area
- Greet patients, manage appointment flow, and ensure a positive patient experience
Requirements:
- Prior orthodontic or dental assisting experience strongly preferred
- Dental Assistant certification or RDA license preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Familiarity with orthodontic procedures, terminology, and equipment
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient-centered chairside manner
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented dental office
- Knowledge of dental practice management software is a plus
