Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service
- Warmly greet guests on arrival and departure
- Serve as host/hostess and provide information about weekly specials, menu items, promotions, directions, and hours
- Ensure guests enjoy an outstanding, respectful experience
- Assist with food and drink delivery to tables
- Support bussing and resetting tables; maintain a clean, attractive dining area
- Promptly communicate guest concerns to the Manager on Duty
- Food & Beverage Preparation
- Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages (horchata, jamaica, tamarindo, pina)
- Create and serve bar drinks, including beer, wine, and cocktails (if age permits and RBS certified)
- Follow all food handling and safety guidelines
- Pack and verify accuracy of take-out orders
- Restaurant Operations
- Organize inventory, stock shelves/refrigerators, and maintain product levels
- Maintain restroom cleanliness throughout the shift
- Process transactions, split checks, and handle phone orders accurately
- Balance the register at shift end
- Answer telephones and relay messages to management
- Assist with catering/events operations as needed
- Support opening, shift change, and closing procedures
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glasses, and utensils
- Complete assigned side work tasks
- Assist with training new front-of-house team members
- Team & Compliance
- Follow all policies in the Employee Handbook
- Maintain up-to-date personal information for payroll
- Pass required tests on menu and handbook knowledge
- Uphold safety and personal hygiene standards at all times
- Promote open communication with front-of-house, kitchen staff, and management
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Shift Lead, General Manager, or Owners
Requirements
- Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant, hospitality team, or front-of-house role preferred
- Valid food handler’s card required
- RBS Certificate required for serving alcohol (if of age)
- Physically able to stand and walk for 100% of shift
- Able to lift 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Available for flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Motivated, positive, and open to learning new skills
- Maintain proper uniform: shoes, nametag, Super Taco shirt, jeans, hair up, short nails, no earrings, etc.
- Comfortable with temperature fluctuations; not claustrophobic
Schedule
Part-time position with flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to stand and sustain a fast pace for up to four hours per shift.
