A specialized pharmacist position is available in Los Angeles, CA, focusing on chemotherapy within a large county health system. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient oncology pharmacy services at a major hospital with over 1,000 beds, part of a comprehensive healthcare network serving numerous clinics and hospitals across the county.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and verify chemotherapy and other oncology-related medications.
• Manage inpatient and outpatient chemotherapy treatments, ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with experience in hospital pharmacy settings.
• Proven expertise in preparing and handling IV chemotherapy.
• Strong knowledge of oncology pharmacotherapy.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with operational practices within large health systems is a plus.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week.

Location:

This is a contract position with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role within the county health system.
