We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician II to join our team in Pleasanton. This role is ideal for an electronics technician with hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and maintaining electronic equipment down to the component level.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, adjust, maintain, and test electronic equipment
- Read and interpret electronic schematics and technical documentation
- Perform component-level troubleshooting and repair
- Use electronic test equipment including digital multimeters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, and electrical safety analyzers
- Work in a production test environment
- Perform bench-level electronic testing and repair
- Troubleshoot electronic equipment and identify root causes of failures
- Support equipment testing, maintenance, and repair activities
- May provide technical support to end users through phone or email
- Document repair and testing activities accurately
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic devices
- Prior SMT experience (electronic components that are mounted directly onto the surface of a circuit board (PCB)
- Experience performing component-level electronic repair
- Experience working with electronic test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, function generators, and power supplies
- Experience in a production test, bench technician, or electronic service/repair environment
- Associate degree (AA/AS) in Electronics or Electronic Technician certification or Candidates without the degree/certification may qualify with 5 years of hands-on service/repair experience
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and professional writing skills
Important: This position is specifically seeking Electronics Technician / Electronic Service & Repair experience. Electrical construction, wiring, or electrician experience alone does not meet the requirements.
Additional Information
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- Temp-to-hire opportunity with the goal of conversion to a permanent position
- Hepatitis B vaccination is required due to the nature of the work; the client will cover the vaccination
- Onsite position in Pleasanton, CA
