Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated emergency nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards and the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff; coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, interpret monitors, and respond promptly to emergencies
- Collaborate with patients, families, and health care providers; participate in discharge planning and patient education
- Document care accurately, maintain a safe environment, manage patient flow, and ensure adherence to hospital policies
- Delegates appropriately and supports a high-quality, patient-centered ER workflow
Requirements
- Current registered nurse license in the state of practice (California required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER or acute care nursing experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP required
- STABLE certification required
- TNCC preferred
- BSN degree preferred; ADN or diploma with ER experience considered
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ER environment and to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
