SHIFTS AVAILABLE

Overnight: 10:00 PM–6:30 AM PT | Wednesday–Sunday

Overnight: 10:00 PM–6:30 AM PT | Friday–Tuesday

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are hiring Autonomous Vehicle Operators to operate test vehicles equipped with self-driving technology. You will help support the development and testing of autonomous vehicles by safely operating vehicles, collecting data, monitoring systems, and providing feedback to engineering teams.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to safety, reliability, communication, and the ability to stay focused while working independently.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Operate vehicles in both manual and autonomous modes for up to 8 hours per day.
• Drive safely in a variety of traffic and road conditions.
• Use specialized software to collect data and provide detailed feedback to engineering teams.
• Monitor vehicle and navigation systems while maintaining constant awareness of your surroundings.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and communicate with the Mission Operations team.
• Complete vehicle inspections before and after each mission.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance, such as washing vehicles and checking tire pressure.
• Occasionally interact with the public and explain basic information about autonomous vehicles.
• Provide professional and safe ride-along experiences for company leaders, engineers, investors, and other guests.
• Complete required training and safety checkpoints.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid California driver's license.
• Must have held a U.S. driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Clean driving record.
• Able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using laptops, tablets, smartphones, and other technology.
• Comfortable using online communication platforms such as Slack and Google Meet.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Strong attendance, punctuality, and reliability.
• Willingness to learn about autonomous vehicles and new technology.
• Comfortable working overnight shifts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Sit for 3–4 hours at a time and up to 8 hours per day in an enclosed vehicle.
• Bend, squat, stretch, and lift up to 25 lbs. regularly.
• Frequently move your head, neck, back, and shoulders while operating the vehicle.
• Be comfortable in a vehicle that may brake, swerve, slow, or stop suddenly.
• Frequently use your hands and feet to operate vehicle controls and pedals.
