Location: Commerce, CA
Pay: $90,000 – $120,000 DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8am-5PM)

Position Overview
The Human Resources Manager will oversee HR operations, payroll, and safety programs within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both strategic and operational HR functions, with strong experience in employee relations, payroll (ADP), compliance, and safety.

This is a highly hands-on role requiring daily involvement across all three areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources
- Manage employee relations, investigations, and corrective actions
- Support supervisors and managers with HR guidance, including complaints and corrective actions
- Administer benefits, onboarding, and open enrollment (OSHA, FMLA, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws
Payroll & HRIS
- Implement, maintain, and review payroll systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and deductions
- Maintain timekeeping systems and ensure wage and hour compliance
- Generate reports and support audits
- Serve as the point of contact for employee payroll inquiries
Safety & Workers’ Compensation
- Manage workers’ compensation claims and coordinate care
- Lead safety programs, training, and compliance initiatives
- Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (manufacturing or similar environment preferred)
- Strong payroll experience (ADP preferred)
- Experience with workers’ compensation and safety programs
- Knowledge of California labor laws and compliance
- Bilingual Spanish/English required
- Experience in GMP, SQF, or food manufacturing environments preferred
- Previous supervisory or lea
Work Environment
- Fast-paced manufacturing setting, including cold storage
- Combination of office and production floor presence
- Must be comfortable working closely with operations teams
