Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager (Mandarin Speaker) role based in Pomona, CA. The Business Development Manager will identify and develop new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners, and expand IEI’s presence in target markets, particularly those requiring Mandarin language capabilities. Daily responsibilities include conducting market research, qualifying leads, preparing and delivering product presentations and proposals, and coordinating with internal technical and operations teams to address customer requirements. The role also involves managing the sales pipeline, negotiating contracts within established guidelines, and tracking performance metrics to ensure revenue growth and customer satisfaction. The Business Development Manager will represent IEI at industry events, support marketing initiatives, and provide feedback to leadership on market trends and strategic opportunities.
Qualifications
- Business development and sales skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, pipeline management, and relationship building.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, with professional proficiency in both English and Mandarin for speaking, reading, and writing.
- Knowledge of industrial computers, IoT, AI, or related technology solutions, with the ability to understand technical concepts and explain them to customers.
- Experience in account management, customer service, and negotiation, with a focus on long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction.
- Comfort using CRM tools, productivity software, and basic data analysis to track activities, forecast sales, and report performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Pomona, CA, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and occasionally travel to visit customers or attend events.
- Prior experience in B2B technology or industrial sectors is preferred; familiarity with Asian markets or international business practices is a plus.
