Immediate opening for a Fabricator in Vernon, CA who possesses:
- 2 to 3 years of recent assembly, brazing, soldering, and TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read blueprints and use hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
- Ability to pass a basic math and English test with 75% accuracy
FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Fabricator to assemble products in a manufacturing environment while meeting design criteria, quality standards, and customer expectations. This role works under direct supervision from production leadership and supports assembly, brazing, soldering, TIG welding, blueprint reading, hand tool use, documentation, 5S, kanban, and continuous improvement activities. The ideal candidate will have recent hands-on manufacturing experience, strong manual dexterity, good attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures and written documentation accurately.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Assembling products in a manner that meets design criteria and customer expectations
- Performing assembly, brazing, soldering, and TIG welding tasks in a manufacturing environment
- Reading and following blueprints, procedures, and written documentation
- Using hand tools to support fabrication and assembly work
- Working under the direction of production leads, the Production Supervisor, and the Value Stream Manager
- Following established work instructions and production procedures
- Maintaining strong attention to detail while completing assigned work
- Supporting quality, production, and customer requirements
- Learning and completing audits related to 5S, kanban, and continuous improvement activities
- Participating in continuous improvement activities as needed
- Working effectively in a team environment
- Maintaining flexibility to support changing production needs
- Performing other duties as assigned
The selected candidate will also possess:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to read and write in English required
- 2 to 3 years of recent assembly, brazing, soldering, and TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Ability to read blueprints required
- Ability to use hand tools required
- Strong command of English, both oral and written
- Strong attention to detail required
- Ability to follow procedures and written documentation required
- Ability to learn quickly required
- Ability to pass a basic math and English test with 75% accuracy required
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Versatile and flexible work style
- Ability to support a union manufacturing environment
- Ability to work onsite in Vernon, CA
- Ability to support a temp-to-hire opportunity
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
- Ability to use hands and fingers for assembly, brazing, soldering, TIG welding, hand tool use, documentation, and standard manufacturing tasks
- Ability to maintain good manual dexterity
- Ability to maintain steady hands and good eyesight while performing detailed fabrication and assembly work
- Ability to read blueprints, procedures, work instructions, documentation, and production materials as needed
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or move 35 to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while following safety procedures and production requirements
- Ability to maintain accuracy, focus, and attention to detail while completing repetitive or detailed tasks
Salary Range: $20/hour
