Desired Qualifications:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential, highly preferred
- Valid School Psychologist Credential or Special Education Credential (with authorization for Mild Moderate or Moderate to Severe)
- Minimum of three years of successful special education experience, specifically involving students with behavioral and/or mental health needs
- Strong understanding of behavioral assessment, data collection, and analysis in a school context
- Exceptional communication skills for working with students, families, and educational staff
- Dedication to inclusive, equitable practices and ongoing professional growth
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting individual behavioral assessments and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)
- Developing and monitoring behavior intervention plans (BIPs) tailored to student needs
- Leading and participating in IEP and multidisciplinary meetings, providing expert behavioral guidance
- Training and supporting teachers and paraprofessionals in implementing behavioral strategies
- Collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to measure student progress and adjust interventions
- Collaborating with stakeholders to promote a positive, safe learning environment for all students
- Staying current with best practices in behavioral support and special education
