We are looking for an Administrative Coordinator to support health insurance eligibility operations for a growing team in the mid-Wilshire area. This four-month contract opportunity is ideal for an organized administrative team member who enjoys helping members, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with internal departments and external partners. In this role, you will manage coverage-related updates, respond to eligibility inquiries, and help ensure timely, accurate processing across a range of benefit scenarios. This is an onsite role.


Responsibilities:

• Respond to phone and in-person inquiries from participants and their representatives regarding eligibility, enrollment, and coverage questions.

• Support open enrollment activities by processing updates and helping members understand available benefit options and required documentation.

• Maintain participant and dependent records by entering changes such as additions, removals, reinstatements, terminations, and status updates.

• Work with insurance carriers and providers to correct coverage information and resolve enrollment discrepancies.

• Administer coverage setup and changes for retirees, surviving spouses, divorced spouses, self-pay members, and other eligible participants.

• Review vendor eligibility files and discrepancy reports, investigate mismatches, and take corrective action to keep records current.

• Prepare letters, notices, and other written communications related to eligibility matters, missing documentation, and coverage changes.

• Reconcile invoices, premium payments, pension deduction listings, and refund activity to support accurate billing and payment processing.

• Evaluate time-sensitive appeals and special enrollment situations involving late payments, qualifying events, or dependent additions.

• Assist with document preparation, scanning, address follow-up, and other departmental assignments while maintaining reliable on-site attendance.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of customer service or administrative experience; experience in group health insurance is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across departments and with plan participants.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, including the ability to manage records and perform basic spreadsheet tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail, proofreading accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working independently, following direction, and meeting deadlines in a structured office environment.
• Solid analytical and basic math skills for reconciliations, premium reviews, and payment-related tasks.
• Ability to perform standard office activities, including sitting or standing for extended periods and lifting up to 10 pounds when needed.
