Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for patients in the emergency department from triage through disposition
- Assess patient needs, implement the nursing process, and coordinate with physicians and the health care team
- Manage care for patients across age groups in a trauma/emergency setting
- Integrate teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
- Delegate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on current clinical competence and scope of practice
- Document care accurately and ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
Requirements
- Active registered nurse license (state as required for practice)
- Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced ER environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the healthcare team
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment
