Help Our Community Access the Care They Need!

Join Chapa-De's Medical team as a Call Center Representative, where you'll help patients access Medical and Optometry services by answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments, checking eligibility, and connecting patients with their care teams. You'll provide courteous, compassionate service while helping ensure patient needs are addressed efficiently and accurately.

Hourly Pay: $25.00-$26.00

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The position will start in Auburn and transition to Rocklin in early 2027.

What You'll Do:

  • Answer high-volume incoming calls and address patient needs promptly and professionally.
  • Schedule Medical and Optometry appointments and manage cancellations and available same-day appointments.
  • Check insurance and Medi-Cal eligibility and accurately update patient demographic information.
  • Communicate with clinical teams regarding patient requests, prescription refills, scheduling needs, messages, and calls requiring further triage.
  • Verify Medi-Cal and private dental insurance eligibility, coverage, and patient responsibility before appointments.



What You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience answering high-volume phone calls.
  • Applied knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • At least 1 year of demonstrated problem-solving experience with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work successfully with a team in stressful situations.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines with minimal supervision, and familiarity with medical terminology.
