PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Performs assigned/scheduled parts washing and secondary operations in manufacturing, cleaning, glass bead and or other services in areas where needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate cleaning system using appropriate wash method and process to remove oil and coolants from product.
• Maintain the cleaning solution in the tanks per Work Instruction and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Operate vibratory deburr machine according to procedure.
• Operate Glass Bead machines as well as maintain the filters.
• Operate vapor hone equipment per Work Instruction to achieve desired finish on product.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned by management.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Ability to understand verbal or written instructions or guidance provided on special assignments.
• Calculate figures using basic shop math
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Accurately enter data into computer program.
• Work over-time as required.
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Experience in shop environment helpful
Language Skills
• Must read, write, and effectively communicate.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and short correspondence and/or memos.
• Ability to effectively communicate information to small groups and other employees of the organization.

While performing the duties of this job
• The employee is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, speak, and listen. Hand eye coordination, repetitive hand movement and manual dexterity (using hands and fingers to handle and feel are necessary.
• The employee is occasionally required to bend, reach shoulder level and lift, carrying, pushing and/or pulling up to 35 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), and ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Eye protection is required when in the shop.
• Ear Protection is required when in the shop.
• Hard toe and slip resistant shoes are required when working in the shop.
• Back support/Back brace is to be worn when performing job functions.
• Rubberized or knit gloves are recommended for your protection.
• Glass Bead will require respiratory protection.
