Internal Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Traveler– Cambridge Healthcare Services

Reports To: OT/Regional Director of Therapy / Facility Therapy Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

Provides OT services under the supervision of a licensed OT, traveling across SNFs to support residents’ functional independence and therapy teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Implement OT treatment plans, monitor resident progress, and document outcomes.

Conduct group and functional sessions as appropriate.

Travel between facilities as scheduled.

Collaborate with OTs, therapy staff, and interdisciplinary teams.

Support facility staff and promote best practices.

Required Qualifications:

Licensed OTA in California

Experience in SNF or post-acute care preferred

Strong ADL and functional intervention skills

Adapted for OTA scope of practice: adherence to OT plans, therapy session completion, resident progress, staff collaboration

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist residents as required for patient care.

Ability to safely transfer residents using appropriate techniques and equipment.

Work Environment:

Primarily within skilled nursing facilities, with frequent travel between multiple sites.

Exposure to typical clinical settings and resident care activities.
