Pay: $55–$65 per hour
Job Type: Per diem, Part-time
Schedule: Flexible scheduling based on patient needs and your availability
Service Area: Monterey, Carmel, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Marina, Hollister, Seaside, Salinas, Soledad, and King City, CA

BrightStar Care of The Monterey Peninsula is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses with pediatric experience to join our clinical team. Use your nursing skills to support children's health, comfort, and safety while helping families feel confident in their child's care-all while upholding A Higher Standard of Care.

RN Responsibilities

• Provide individualized pediatric nursing care according to physician orders and the established plan of care

• Assess and monitor the child's condition, recognizing and promptly reporting changes

• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and procedures within your training, competency, and RN scope of practice

• Educate and support parents and caregivers on the child's care needs, treatments, and safety

• Communicate with the Director of Nursing, healthcare providers, and family to coordinate care

• Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely clinical documentation

• Follow agency policies, infection prevention practices, and clinical protocols

RN Requirements

• Active, unencumbered California Registered Nurse license

• Minimum one year of documented RN experience

• Pediatric nursing experience

• Current CPR certification

• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to provide compassionate, family-centered care and work independently in the home

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric home health or private duty nursing experience

• Experience caring for children with complex medical needs

• Experience with feeding tubes, medication administration, or other pediatric skilled nursing procedures

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
