Key Qualifications:
- Valid CTC Certification in Moderate/Severe Special Education (MUST have)
- Experience or enthusiasm for working with kindergarten-aged students
- Solid understanding of IEPs, classroom management, and differentiated instruction
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with a multidisciplinary team
- Passion for fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Flexibility for working with diverse student needs and adjusting plans as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction tailored to individual IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, families, and support staff to promote student success
- Conduct regular assessments to track student growth and communicate progress
- Create and maintain a supportive classroom atmosphere that prioritizes safety, respect, and learning
- Provide direct instruction, behavior interventions, and supports for students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights for student programming
