The Installer HVAC plays a critical role in ensuring the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This position requires a thorough understanding of HVAC systems, including ductwork, electrical wiring, and control systems, to guarantee optimal performance and energy efficiency. The Installer HVAC collaborates closely with project managers, electricians, and other construction professionals to complete installations according to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards. Attention to detail and adherence to local codes and regulations are essential to ensure the safety and comfort of building occupants. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to creating safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient environments through expert HVAC system installation and service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerants.
  • Experience with modern HVAC control systems and smart thermostats.
  • Familiarity with energy-efficient HVAC technologies and green building practices.
  • Previous experience working in residential and commercial HVAC installation.
  • Certification from recognized industry organizations such as NATE (North American Technician Excellence).

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan HVAC system installations.
  • Install HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and ventilation components.
  • Connect electrical wiring and control systems to HVAC units following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Test installed systems to ensure proper operation, troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
