WRS Mechanical is hiring a Mechanical Superintendent in San Diego, CA to lead field operations on commercial HVAC, plumbing and piping projects for a mechanical subcontractor.
Responsibilities
- Supervise field crews and foremen installing commercial HVAC, plumbing, piping and sheet metal systems
- Plan daily and weekly work to hit the project schedule and look-ahead
- Run a safety-first jobsite: toolbox talks, JHAs, inspections and OSHA compliance
- Coordinate with general contractors, Project Managers, engineers and other trades
- Manage manpower, equipment and material deliveries
- Track installed quantities, daily reports, RFIs and field changes
- Oversee quality control, inspections, testing, startup and closeout punch lists
Requirements
- 5+ years of field supervision on commercial mechanical, HVAC or plumbing projects
- Mechanical subcontractor experience strongly preferred
- Strong blueprint and coordination drawing reading skills
- Working knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam or similar field tools
- OSHA 30 required or able to obtain; journeyman license a plus
- Proven ability to lead crews and work with general contractors and PMs
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 per year (USD)
