Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and valid Special Education teaching credentials
- Experience or a strong interest in working with moderate to severe caseloads
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams
- Commitment to implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) according to best practices
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, adapt, and implement curricula for students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Collaborate with educational professionals, support staff, and families to create and follow effective IEPs
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
- Use assessment tools and data-driven methodologies to track and optimize student progress
- Provide small-group and one-on-one instruction tailored to individual student learning plans
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
