Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to support daily operational activities within a healthcare setting. This role involves coordinating staffing requests, managing training schedules, overseeing compliance, preparing administrative reports and correspondence, and supporting management with scheduling, meetings, and communication.

The ideal candidate will have healthcare and managerial experience, strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent written communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review incoming requests for float staff support and assign personnel based on qualifications and operational needs.
  • Coordinate new-hire training schedules, including preceptorships and externships.
  • Prepare clear and professional correspondence for Employee Relations, Labor Relations, and HR management.
  • Monitor operational compliance and ensure adherence to applicable policies and procedures.
  • Schedule meetings for operational teams and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Co-host staff and manager meetings and assist with related follow-up activities.
  • Update staff schedules to reflect early departures, late arrivals, and other staffing changes.
  • Review and triage messages for the management team, directing inquiries to the appropriate managers.
  • Collaborate with Ambulatory Nursing, Safety, Security, the Skills Management Team, HR, and other departments to coordinate required employee training.
  • Prepare accurate administrative reports, analytical summaries, and memorandums.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, streamline processes, and reduce duplicated efforts.
  • Support management with risk management, personnel-related matters, and other operational responsibilities as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of managerial experience; 2 years preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise, and well-organized reports, correspondence, and memorandums.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of research-oriented patient care systems.
  • Ability to understand and apply organizational policies and procedures related to personnel and risk management.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively in ambiguous situations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Flexible, adaptable, accessible, and team-oriented approach to work.
  • Ability to develop systematic processes that improve efficiency and minimize duplication of effort.
