Job Description
Systems Engineer
Stealthy North Bay Counter-Drone Start-Up | Geyserville, CA (Onsite)
We're a stealthy North Bay start-up building counter-drone technology, and we're at the very beginning. We're a small group of people who like making things happen, and we move fast. There's no red tape and no endless meetings. You'll work directly with leadership and engineers who want you to succeed, and you'll see how every piece of the system comes together, from the first concept to the field. If you've ever wanted to help shape a product from the ground up, this is that chance, and it doesn't come around often.
Now we're looking for a systems engineer who thinks big picture, loves a technical puzzle, and wants to own how the whole system works.
What Your Day Looks Like
- Defining system requirements and turning them into clear specifications the team can build to
- Developing the system architecture and making sure hardware, electronics, and software work together
- Working with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to resolve integration issues early
- Planning and running system level tests, in the lab and out in the field
- Analyzing test data, finding the root cause of problems, and driving the fix
- Tracking requirements, interfaces, and design changes so nothing slips through the cracks
- Supporting range and field testing as needed
- Documenting your work, test results, and recommendations clearly and on time
You Might Be a Great Fit If You...
- Have a bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field
- Have 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, integration, or test for complex hardware
- Understand how to write requirements, define interfaces, and verify that a system meets them
- Are comfortable working across disciplines and speaking the language of electrical, mechanical, and software teams
- Enjoy getting hands-on with the hardware, in the lab and out in the field
- Can work independently, think through problems, and ask for help when it matters
- Take pride in quality work and pay attention to the details
- Like a fast-moving environment where you'll wear more than one hat
- Have experience with RF, radar, sensor, or detection systems, or with aerospace, defense, or drone work (a plus, not a must)
The Good Stuff
- Full-time, onsite in Geyserville
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid vacation, and paid sick leave
- Real ownership of how the system comes together from day one
- A ground floor opportunity with a small, driven team building something new
