Labor & Employment Associate - Los Angeles/ San Diego (Hybrid)

Job Description Direct Counsel is partnering with a nationally recognized AmLaw 200 law firm to identify an Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join its Labor & Employment business unit in Los Angeles or San Diego, CA offices. This position focuses on single-plaintiff employment litigation and wage-hour class action/PAGA cases. However, this position may also require litigation of range of matters involving disputes such as trade secrets, non-competes, whistleblower, employment tax, and prevailing wages. Candidates must hold an active California Bar license. This is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule.

Required Experience and Skill Set

• Drafting pleadings, workplace policies, and discovery

• Drafting and arguing motions, and conducting administrative hearings

• Taking and defending depositions

• Conducting employee trainings

• Providing day-to-day advice and counseling to employers

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Must be currently licensed to practice law in the State of California or eligible for admission without examination

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range: $190,000 – $215,000 annually (DOE)
