Shred Specialist – Newark, CA
Pay Rate: $21.00 - $26.00/hr (Depending on Experience)

Position Type: Full-Time, Temporary Project (Aug 10, 2026 – Nov 30, 2026)

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Location: Newark, CA

About the Role:
In this role, you will play a key part in processing wastepaper, operating industrial shredding equipment, and supporting daily warehouse logistics to ensure efficient and secure operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Unload, stage, and segregate incoming shredded paper, media, and product from delivery trucks.

Operate and maintain industrial shredding and baling machinery in compliance with VRC and NAID security standards.

Safely operate forklifts to stack gaylord boxes, move materials, and load/unload trucks and trailers.
Ensure paper bales are properly staged and prepared for outbound shipments.
Perform routine weekly, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance on forklifts and facility equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

Requirements:

Technical & Equipment Skills: Prior warehouse experience with proficiency in forklift operation and general machinery maintenance.

Security & Safety Standards: High commitment to safety protocols, secure document handling, and maintaining a hazard-free work space.
Physical & Teamwork Strengths: Ability to handle physical warehouse duties, manage heavy volume, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
