Job Description
The Manufacturing Process Technician is responsible for manufacturing process OEE, work order changes, equipment setups and efficiency, downtime management, troubleshooting, quality verification, preventive maintenance, and training and mentoring technicians. This role supports safe, efficient production across extrusion and recoil lines while maintaining accurate documentation and working closely with the team to achieve production goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide detailed and accurate communication through shift reports.
- Check and monitor work order progress through SKS and PICK.
- Set up, start up, restart, and manage product changes on operating lines.
- Know the location and control functions of all emergency stops, maintain clean and orderly work areas, use tools safely, wear required PPE, and follow company safety guidelines.
- Verify correct materials, paperwork, labels, laser prints, and packaging specifications for extrusion production.
- Inspect coils for inside-diameter conformance and verify product conformance through quality samples and product data sheets.
- Complete all forms accurately and stack coils correctly on pallets.
- Provide quality training for product changes, setups, and restarts.
- Train and mentor coiler/reeler operators and upcoming technicians.
- Apply advanced knowledge of coiler operations and setup.
- Follow up on order changes and setups and check BOM accuracy against work orders and SKS.
- Troubleshoot process issues and take ownership of production issues and improvements during the shift.
- Work with the team to achieve production goals.
- Maintain and account for spare parts supporting manufacturing equipment.
- Monitor OEE availability, performance, and quality, including downtime, line speed, and scrap.
- Perform line preventive maintenance and set up all extrusion and recoil production lines.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds overhead.
- Minor mechanical knowledge.
- Fluent in reading and speaking English.
- Basic math skills.

- Previous mechanical experience.
- Previous manufacturing experience.
