Position Summary


We are seeking a skilled Precision Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our Systems Operations team. This position is responsible for the assembly, calibration, setup, and testing of a wide range of precision mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical products in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical abilities, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work while maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble, calibrate, set up, and test precision mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical assemblies to meet quality standards.
  • Complete and finalize modified products with limited supervision using technical expertise and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Assemble prototype equipment with minimal engineering direction.
  • Provide manufacturing recommendations to improve product reliability, reduce costs, and shorten build times.
  • Utilize basic test equipment and instruments to troubleshoot products, assemblies, and workstations.
  • Perform light machining and fabrication tasks using belt sanders, saws, grinders, drills, and other shop equipment.
  • Work safely within an industrial manufacturing environment and follow all safety procedures.
  • Maintain high productivity and quality standards.
  • Support assembly, stockroom, quality control, and other operational functions as needed.
  • Train and mentor new employees when required.
  • Collaborate with production personnel to meet project schedules and resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Background in precision electro-mechanical manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics, drawings, and documentation in English.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools.
  • Soldering experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to work on the production floor to support project completion and resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Ability to train and mentor team members.
  • Availability to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed.


Education

  • Associate degree (AA) in Electronics or a related field, or
  • Equivalent advanced electronic and mechanical assembly experience.


Experience

  • 4–6 years of experience as an electrical and mechanical assembly technician
