Location:
Sacramento, CA. This role is primarily on-site, with potential hybrid flexibility for more experienced attorneys. Local Sacramento-area candidates are strongly preferred.
Note:
Candidates must be actively licensed with the California Bar and have at least 1+ year of direct experience litigating elder abuse or neglect matters. General litigation experience alone is not sufficient without relevant elder abuse or neglect case experience.

Job Description
- Handle elder abuse and neglect litigation involving nursing homes, long-term care facilities, and healthcare-related matters
- Manage cases through discovery, motion practice, settlement, and trial preparation
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, briefs, and other litigation documents
- Take and defend depositions and assist with developing case strategy
- Coordinate with medical and other expert witnesses
- Analyze medical records, facility records, discovery, and other evidence
- Prepare for and participate in court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal team members
- Manage deadlines and case responsibilities with increasing independence based on experience
Qualifications
- Active California Bar license in good standing
- 1+ year of elder abuse or neglect litigation experience
- Experience with nursing home, long-term care, healthcare, or related litigation strongly preferred
- Strong litigation writing, research, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage discovery, deadlines, and multiple active matters
- Defense-side elder abuse or healthcare litigation experience preferred
- Sacramento-area candidates preferred
