Staff Accountant
Location: Orange County, CA
Schedule: Onsite
Salary: Up to $85,000
Type: Direct Hire
We’re seeking a Staff Accountant for a direct hire opportunity with a company in Orange County. This position will have a broad accounting focus and is a good fit for someone who enjoys being involved in multiple areas of the accounting process.
What You’ll Do:
• Support month end close and general ledger accounting
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Review and research account discrepancies
• Assist with customer and vendor account activity
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
• Prepare accounting reports and schedules
• Assist with other accounting projects as needed
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with AP, AR, and general ledger accounting
• Strong account reconciliation and journal entry experience
• Experience supporting month end close
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Experience using an ERP or accounting system
• Strong Excel skills including formulas, XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and SUMIFS
• Manufacturing or distribution experience is a plus
This is a hands on accounting role with exposure to several areas of the accounting function.
