Job Description Order Puller
Location: Sacramento, CA 95691
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Application Period: This position will remain open until filled.
Position Summary:
The Order Puller is responsible for picking orders, handling incoming and outgoing materials, operating forklifts, and maintaining organized warehouse inventory. This role requires previous shipping and receiving experience, safe forklift operation, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Pick and prepare orders accurately for shipment.
- Assist with unloading trucks and verifying incoming merchandise.
- Sort, stock, and organize materials on racks, shelves, and in designated storage areas.
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move and position materials.
- Assist with packing, shipping, and inventory organization.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, including sweeping, dusting, and mopping as needed to ensure a safe work environment.
- Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- One to two years of warehouse related experience in shipping and receiving
- One to two years of experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Ability to lift and move 10–50 pounds regularly and handle heavier materials using appropriate lifting equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Dependable work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining an organized work area.
- Consistent work history demonstrating reliability and dependability.
- Steel toes are required.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. (with the proper lifting equipment)
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.
