Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Join a specialized pharmacy team providing critical pharmaceutical care within a secure correctional health environment in Los Angeles. This long-term, open-ended contract opportunity supports a 24/7 jail pharmacy located primarily at the Twin Towers Jail Pharmacy in Downtown Los Angeles.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense and verify medications accurately in a correctional health setting.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and effective pharmaceutical care.
- Maintain compliance with security procedures and departmental policies.
- Participate in training and competency assessments as required.
Work Schedule:
- Evening shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Overnight shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- 7.5-hour shifts, approximately 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Active California Pharmacist license.
- Minimum of 2 years of retail/outpatient pharmacy experience.
- Ability to complete security clearance documentation and pass competency testing.
- Flexibility to work evening or overnight shifts in a secure correctional facility.
- Local candidates preferred.
Hiring Process Highlights:

- Interview and facility tour scheduled for June 19th.
- Successful candidates must pass a competency test, employee health screening, and Livescan fingerprinting.
- Anticipated start date in mid-July.
- The process from submission to start date may take 6 to 10 weeks.
