Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A healthcare organization in Long Beach, CA, is seeking experienced clinical pharmacists for contract roles with the option to eventually transition to a permanent position. This large health system operates numerous ambulatory care/outpatient clinics and several hospitals, requiring skilled pharmacists to support pharmacy operations and patient care.
Schedule:
- Variable days/afternoons
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical pharmacy services across inpatient and ambulatory care settings
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy and ensure patient safety
- Support operational needs in pharmacy departments to maintain efficient workflows
Qualifications:
- PGY1 residency preferred or approximately 2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
- Strong clinical knowledge and patient care skills
- Ability to successfully pass a competency exam on the first attempt
- Completion of Livescan background check and onboarding process (4–6 weeks)
- Professionalism and readiness to integrate into a large, unionized healthcare system
