Are you a Mechanical Estimator who knows Trimble, Accubid, FastPipe or QuickPen inside and out? We have an estimating role in the Chula Vista, California area for a commercial mechanical subcontractor.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates for commercial HVAC, plumbing, piping and sheet metal projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs and build BOMs using Trimble, Accubid, FastPipe, QuickPen or similar
- Review plans and specs in Bluebeam, AutoCAD and Revit MEP
- Solicit and level vendor and subcontractor quotes
- Prepare scope letters, qualifications and bid proposals
- Support value engineering and design-build budgeting
- Hand off awarded jobs to project management with a clear schedule of values and buyout plan
Requirements
- 3+ years estimating commercial mechanical, HVAC or plumbing work
- Proficiency in Trimble/Accubid, FastPipe, QuickPen or comparable estimating software
- Strong plan reading and Bluebeam skills
- Knowledge of labor units, material pricing and mechanical systems
- Mechanical subcontractor experience strongly preferred
- Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 per year (USD)
